News Update

The older we get, the less time we seem to have, which I guess is true... either way, I'm not getting around to writing as often as I'd like! Be assured that we are well and Eli & Grace are alive and kicking, lots! Some of the highlights over the last few weeks... (if I can remember them all...)

BABY SHOWER: Catherine and some of our friends up here organised an awesome baby shower for us this weekend after church! It was so blessed and they did an awesome job! We got loads of clothes so we may need to buy a new house for more cupboard space... We all went back to the cottage after church with the Smits, Hopkins and three other friends who joined us especially for the shower. We unpacked everything and then enjoyed the awesome cake that someone had made for us. It had the most adorable miniature icing prams and some letter blocks to decorate - we've kept them for the time-capsule!

PRAM: We have been praying about this one for a while because for twins, our options are limited for a strong, durable and maneuverable so it was going to cost us a fair amount of bob! A family in our church called me last week and told me that they would like to buy it for us! I wasted no time and ordered the pram and it was delivered yesterday! It's so cool, the twins can face forwards, backwards, or, if they're having a good day, they can face one another. It has super sized wheels for the ride up to church, which will come especially handy!

CYCLING MINISTRY: Paul and I have started a men's ministry where we go for a ride super early on a Saturday morning. We've had one ride so far but Paul (who's training for a tri-athlon) and I have been for four rides already. Last week we rode 55km!!!! 13km on Monday, 21km on Thursday and another 21km on Saturday! It's the furthest I've ever ridden in my entire life and I only threw-up once... but my fitness has improved amazingly fast! We are doing another 21kms tomorrow morning.

NEW DOCTOR: With our switch to the nearer Wilgeheuwel hospital, we've had to get a new Gynea which is not that easy! We managed to see a new lady at the hospital on Friday and she is really nice, El was very comfortable with her. We also managed to fill out COPIOUS amounts of paper work to book a bed for the first week in December. We have booked for full term but the twins could be here anywhere from the end of October! Please keep praying for us!!

That's about it for now... thank you to all of you who have been sending through regular news! Lots of love and blessings all round, Tim & El
